She says: This week mummy's mood is going up n down. On monday night, Mummy n daddy finally met after daddy went reservist and not allowed to come home for that one week. We went for happy dinner n halfway through I heard that gov announced in rally that maternity leave will be increased to 4mths!! I guess my first response is will this affect my apprasial? In the end, that night I dreamt my apprasial was unsatisfactory. But on Tuesday morning, I have decided that the additional 4 weeks are useful when it comes to taking princess to take jabs, check-up n etc.
But on Wednesday, I was devasted when I read that the enhanced baby perks only applies for babies born on or after 1st Jan. I only got to enjoy tax rebate for birth in 2008.
However, a twist of fate happened on Thursday. Due to a number of appeals, gov is bring forward the effective date to 17th Aug!!! Mummy is so so so happy that I will be able to spend more time with u! But being a perfectionist, how I wish the additional 4 weeks can be shared with daddy so that daddy can accompany us when mummy in confinement. But I guess daddy got 6days childcare leave to utilise for this year so plus his own leave, at least can pei us for at least half a month??
Friday! Mummy's mood fell to the bottom again. Due to the amount of course fee that I will be attending next week, I would required to stay with the company for TWO YEARS!! By then u ald turn 2 years. No more infant but toddler. OMG! TWO YEARS is so so so long. And I get even upset to know one of my colleague is promoted. No la. I am happy for her la but it makes me realised that I lack of opportunity, environment n people to help me to get promoted here and I am jailed for 2 years leh!!!
