She says: To be exact, today is my 3rd day at new work place. First day together with 15 other pple, we had our orientation. Went for hearing test (tested my ears are working fine) and jus sit there n listen to briefing after briefing. I was rather shock n pissed by the rules and regulation here. I shall not elaborate further to protect the name of the company. Jus when I was wondering y would pple wan to work in such place then they mention their attractive bonus payout. Me too. The bonus is my ONLY motivation to work in this place (actually really wanted to use the word 'hell'). But I got a few surprises at office. The person sitting behind me is my pri sch fren sister! Yeah! At least got someone that I know here. And was surprised to see my new PC and 19" LCD monitor. Really nice to new staff huh?!!

2nd day was a Sat so we worked half a day. Yes! Its 5 and a half working week here. I wiped my desk, installed sw and a colleague came over to brief me on a big system. I start to panic if I can really manage such a big system by myself. I so afraid with the number of yrs working experience, they expected me to be someone that is worth the price they paying for. Anxiety ...

3rd day. Spent my time looking at code and day dream while looking at the monitor of cos! And I going to master the skill of 'sleeping' with my eyes open. Amazing right? Time really hard to pass. In the afternoon, my boss brief me and another new guy abt the big system. I wonder izzit becos I keep asking qns until the boss turned to me and said "Florance, take things one step at a time. Here is not as pressurized as outside so u can relax abit. I cannot work when there is pressure." Steady lo! If he never ask colleague to brief me on the big system, would I be so panicky? And he also say the pple here wan to see us working so we have to OT ONCE in a while. Wat can I say?
